Indigenous Range

Experience a dynamic collection of balls and gym mats from experienced Aboriginal visual artist, Emma Bamblett (Wemba Wemba, Gunditjmara, Ngadjonji and Taungurung). This diverse artwork series depicts a variety of connections and stories relating to tradition, community and wellbeing.

The Journeys artwork represents connection to wellbeing. The purple steams throughout represent a journey, walking forward and going places. The curved hill formations represent connection to Land and Country. There is a circle with curved lines connecting representing connection to Community. Throughout the artwork there are smaller and large stones representing family. All these elements are important and highlight connection to our wellbeing.

The waterways artwork is a representation of the rivers, lakes and waterholes. It is a place of movement and cleansing. The artwork depicts currents, water moving and waterholes forming.

This artwork tells a story of how important football is in the Community. The oval is centre with people standing around watching. The Elders are located at the bottom of the artwork to highlight their wisdom and guidance. The hands placed around the artwork represents the players journey around the football. There is an eagle soaring in the sky to represent stories passed down. The circles with curved lines are the journey of players and Community.

This artwork symbolises the connection Aboriginal people have with totems across the Country. The soaring birds represent caring for and watching over Country and Land, reflecting the deep link to totems in each region. They embody care, connection, and identity.

Land, Water, Family and Country are the symbols throughout this artwork. The blue section is the water flowing with the current. The purple section is connection to Country and Tribes. The yellow section is connection to Land and Sand. The green section is gathering and meeting symbols of families.

As part of this collaboration, Emma has pledged that 5% of sales will go to Emma’s nominated indigenous charity Djirra.

Djirra is a culturally safe and welcoming space where Aboriginal culture is honoured and practical support is always within reach.

They are committed to empowering Aboriginal women and their children, ensuring they have access to opportunities and can live lives free from violence.
