Foam balance is a great way to increase the difficulty of any exercise. Performing exercises on foam creates an unstable surface increasing your core and legs to work harder. They also make the small muscles around your joints work harder, increasing your stability and decreasing your chance of injury. This can be used in a rehab setting; great for post ankle or knee injury, or for any exercise in the gym – a single leg dead lift is a lot more difficult when you aren’t standing on solid ground!

Half round rollers are great for making exercise even more difficult – a halfway tool between a wobble board and a balance beam. 

Not only are these tools great for rehab and workout difficulty they are great for kids. Teach kids balance and coordination on a safe and soft surface without worrying if they will fall or hurt themselves on a rough edge.
