The Active Kids grant program is generously funded by The Dickinson Foundation in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF), and aims to improve the physical and mental health of children and young Australians by encouraging and/or increasing sports participation through the provision of equipment to eligible community organisations.

The 2026 Active Kids grant is open to volunteer-run, grassroots and community clubs and organisations with young members aged 20 or younger.

We are excited to share, that this year grants will again be awarded in the form of equipment supplied by HART Sport. Applications will be accepted from Monday the 2nd of March to Friday the 27th of March 2026.

The 2026 Active Kids grant round opens 9am (AEST) Monday, 2 March 2026 to 4pm (AEST) Friday, 27 March 2026.

There is no maximum grant value for this grant round. However, as funds are limited and the objective is to help as many clubs as possible, applicants are encouraged to only request what is necessary to improve the physical and mental health of young Australians through increased sports participation opportunities.

As a guide, the average grant value awarded in the previous two rounds ranged between $3,500 and $4,500.

Awards & trophies, first aid kits, storage items, electronic scoreboards, marquees, coaching boards or water bottles will not be funded through the 2026 Active Kids grant round, so must not be included on the quote you submit with your application.
