Choosing the right Starting Blocks

09 Dec 2016

Making sure you have the right starting block setup will help get you out of the blocks faster and be the first one over the line. Having the correct block set up can make all the difference, but how do you know what's right for you?

While each athlete is different, there are some general rules which may help find your perfect setup. The front pedal is usually setup two steps away from the start line of race, while the back pedal should be around three steps from the line. Different centre rail lengths on starting blocks allow you to individualise the difference between your feet to help find that perfect position. Starting blocks with fixed angles are excellent for teaching beginners how to start on their toes and saves time between athletes changing over heights. Adjustable angled blocks allow for athletes to choose thier foot position as well as allow you to have both feet at different angles.

See our range of starting blocks to help you get out of the blocks first!
